<p> </p> <p>Let’s care for tomorrow.<br/> Your ambitions.  Your dreams.  Your tomorrow.</p> <p> </p> <p>Whether it’s aircraft, international business, offshore wind parks or Hollywood film productions, Allianz Commercial has an extensive range of risks covered when it comes to protecting businesses.  </p> <p> </p> <p>We are looking for a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) – based in Munich.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Impact You Will Have <br/> Reporting to the Head of External Reinsurance Accounting, you will be in charge of handling the reporting and closing activities as well as project work in your area of responsibility. </p> <p> </p> <p>Some of your specific responsibilities could include</p> <ul> <li>Document application of policies, procedures and workflow for your areas of responsibility</li> <li>Archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements</li> <li>Draft standards to improve quality as well as actively contribute in improving and implementing global operation cycles, processes and workflows as well as implementing global policies and procedures</li> <li>Project work </li> <li>Ensure that all IFRS, GAAP and Statutory closing and reporting tasks (e.g. annual report, reporting to regulatory authorities, NAIC reporting, other internal/external reporting requirements) related to your area of responsibility are accurate and timely on a global basis</li> <li>Complete postings, Journal Entries and Account reconciliations on a periodic basis. Reconcile and settle intercompany transactions within the affiliated company group</li> <li>Coordination, transfer and reconciliation of data from interfaces of front-end systems</li> <li>Take care of monthly legal entity close submission activities, including posting of accruals, deferred acquisition expenses and other accounting transactions.        </li> <li>Manage relationship with 3rd parties (auditors, biz units, tax authorities, public authorities, etc.)</li> <li>Global P&amp;L analysis and reviews: Assist internal clients (e.g. other departments) with reports, research and other activities.    </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>What You’ll Bring to the Role</p> <ul> <li>Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or comparable degree preferred or qualified by experience in related discipline</li> <li>A few years of professional experience in reinsurance, P&amp;C insurance and/or asset management</li> <li>Proven understanding of standard accounting (GAAP &amp; IFRS) for insurance and reinsurance</li> <li>Solid experience in project and team work in an international and dynamic environment</li> <li>Good understanding of insurance financial statements and their performance measurement including drivers</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of local GAAP, IAS / IFRS, Regulatory, Tax and other relevant requirements (such as Allianz Accounting policies) with regard to reporting, compliance and declaration</li> <li>Excellent ability to handle complex processes (closing, reporting, finance operations) including understanding of data flows</li> <li>Willingness to learn and ability to take initiative and ownership</li> <li>Intercultural skills</li> <li>Experience with VBA would be a plus.</li> <li>Fluent English skills required, German skills are a plus</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>34362 | Finance &amp; Accounting | Professional | Allianz Commercial | Full-Time | Permanent</p> <p> </p> <p>What’s in it for you?</p> <p> </p> <p>Let’s care about everything that makes you, you<br/> We are committed to nurturing an inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong.
