Job Description

  • You will work with our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners in the integration of Bosch eBike System components into their ebike product offerings.
  • You will be involved in discussions with our OEM partners to understand their needs based upon their commercial, fleet, ecargo applications.
  • You will work with our product and business development teams to gather and document OEM feedback for the commercial market and report it back to the product teams in headquarters.
  • You will work on the creation of a technical information documents to share with our OEM partner.
    •  Understand what is needed for the commercial, fleet, ecargo application and how it differs from the standard consumer driven product
  • You will work with regional based ebike regulations for speed, power output and requirements.
    • City are regulating the use of the ebike differently.  So speed and power outputs can be different from one city to the next.
    • This position will help with the Bosch eBike System meeting regional regulations.
    • Creation of ebike system programing files based upon these regional based requirements.
  • Report information concerning the North America (NA) OEM landscape, product, and customer requirements.
    • North America influence on global market for last mile delivery topics.
    • Customer requirements including OEM product groups, Independent Bicycle Dealer (IBD) landscape, rider groups and regional needs.

Travel Expectations: Ability to travel both nationally and internationally. This will vary depending upon the season.  Can be as much as 50% during some months during peak product development cycles. Preferred location of this role to be within a 1-hour proximity to major airport. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in the ebike/bicycle OEM industry
  • 1+ years of experience with technical product development support from the ebike/bicycle OEM industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A technical or Bachelor's degree with a focus on engineering and project management.
  • Communicative, team player and self-confident appearance even in front of an audience.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects during the bicycle model year with multiple OEMs.
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Ability to visit OEM locations by vehicle (Bosch provided) and/or air travel.
