Position Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Director of Dove Employment Services to lead and manage the operations of our DES program. The Director will coordinate and supervise staff delivering community employment services to individuals with disabilities, ensuring quality job placements and long-term employment success. This position requires a high level of leadership, strategic planning, staff development, and hands-on involvement in service delivery.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise DES staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high-quality client services. 
  • Oversee the development of employment opportunities and coordinate job placements, training, and on-site supports for individuals with disabilities. 
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of integrated work environments and oversee job development and participant compatibility analysis. 
  • Utilize systematic instructional strategies for job site training and support, including data collection and fading techniques. 
  • Advocate for employees with disabilities and coordinate community resources to support employment goals. 
  • Conduct ongoing performance assessments and obtain employer evaluations. 
  • Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to generate new referrals. 
  • Facilitate ongoing communication between employers and employees to ensure successful job retention. 
  • Supervise case management activities, including reviews, evaluations, and service planning. 
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date program documentation in compliance with ISO, state regulations, and agency procedures. 
  • Serve as liaison between Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and DES to address program development and resolve issues. 
  • Monitor and meet budgetary objectives and financial targets for DES. 
  • Participate in training sessions, seminars, and staff meetings as recommended by administration. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and ensure flexible availability, including occasional extended hours.

Requirements

 Required:

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile liability coverage. 
  • Flexible schedule availability to meet departmental needs. 
  • Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer literacy. 
  • Ability to maintain professional hygiene and appearance. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. 
  • Effective multitasking and time management in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
     

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required) in Rehabilitation, Special Education, Behavioral Science, or a related field. 
  • Preferred experience in areas such as job development, task and job analysis, worksite training, and data collection. 
  • Understanding of supported employment models and normalization principles in human services is a plus.
