Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, located in Charlottesville, VA, is hiring a Patient Access Representative - Full Time schedule.

Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Incumbent will work at the Proffit Road location.

As a Patient Access Rep with Sentara, you will work in the Emergency Department, Patient Registration, or a doctor's office. This position's primary duties include positively identifying the patient, collecting demographic and insurance information, and admitting the patients. This role allows you to work with both clinical and non-clinical staff. If you desire, there are promotional opportunities into a Patient Access Rep II/III, Team Leader, and Team Coordinator. Requirements:

• 2 years of Data Entry Experience
• 2 years of Customer Service Experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree can be considered in lieu of two years of experience.
• 6 Months of healthcare experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of third party payers, ICD-9/ CPT coding and medical terminology preferred
• Proficiency in clerical skills including electronic communication and keyboard required.
