We’re looking for a versatile and driven HR Specialist who wants to specialize their talents in the onboarding, learning, and performance management space, while also lending their talents across other functions of HR. Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point-of-contact for our onboarding program, partnering with hiring managers, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely completion of all activities and communications.
- Deliver onboarding presentations for various types of hires, ensuring a positive experience
- Support the Talent Management Manager with all system, activity, reporting, and communication needs both in and outside of our HRIS tool, in the delivery of all cyclical talent and performance programs
- Assist Talent Management Manager with manager newsletter content creation and delivery
- Act as an additional point-of-contact for managers and employees on a variety of talent and performance-related questions and HALO practices
- Uplevel content on performance and L&D on HALO intranet and provide continuous website maintenance
- Partner closely with our HRIS team to ensure employee data is up to date, population special considerations and exceptions are properly tracked, and UAT is completed prior to cycle launches
- Help answer questions and resolve issues related to payroll, benefits, onboarding, and systems via shared inbox and phone line, delivering timely, accurate, and policy-aligned guidance
- Assist with special projects in talent acquisition, mergers and acquisitions, and/or payroll as needed
- Any other HR duties as business needs dictate
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Minimum of 4 years of broad HR experience which includes proven work in the training, learning, or performance management space.
- Able to travel to the Oakbrook, IL office 1x a month and Sterling, IL office (2 hours west of Chicago) 1-2x a year.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in a deadline driven team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills directed towards all employee levels.
- Patience and sensitivity in handling personal information in potentially stressful situations.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Creative problem-solving capabilities.
Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is between $59,000 - $65,000 annually. Please note that this pay range serves as a general guideline and reflects a broad spectrum of labor markets across the US. While it is uncommon for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range, compensation decisions are influenced by various factors. At HALO, these include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, location, education and training, key skills, internal equity, external market data, and broader market and business considerations.
