The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.
Lead Regulatory Policy Analyst | Pay Range - $95,200.00 - $123,700.00
Senior Regulatory Policy Analyst | Pay Range - $85,800.00 - $109,450.00

Your Role:
As our Regulatory Policy Analyst, you will be instrumental in internal discussions regarding SPP's transmission and generation interconnection markets, developing innovative cost allocation methodologies, supporting policy and tariff drafting from a regulatory perspective. You will also engage with multiple task forces, working groups, and committees as part of our stakeholder process. This role is central to collaboration, building relationships, and providing critical input, information, and coordination.
Elevator Pitch: This position is uniquely positioned within SPP, supporting almost every business unit and actively participating in numerous stakeholder groups as well as with state and federal regulatory bodies. With many new and exciting transmission and generation interconnection market changes on the horizon at SPP, you will play a key role in navigating these developments. Note that this position is not remote due to its vital interactions with internal stakeholders.

To be successful as the Regulatory Policy Analyst Senior or Lead, we're looking for:
- Degree in engineering, accounting, economics or another relevant field of study
- Lead Requirements: Six (6) years’ experience in electric utility rate or electric regulatory operations or electric market operations (In excess of degree requirements above)
- In-depth knowledge of electric utility regulatory principles, including ratemaking, cost allocation, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) processes.
- Excellent demonstrated analytical, facilitation, and project leadership skills.
- Knowledge of computer business applications and data base management systems
- Excellent working relationship with all parties must be maintained to ensure the accomplishment of the SPP mission
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, state and federal regulators, SPP legal advisors, engineers, economists, accountants, management and senior management
- Excellent communication, both written and oral, is for the purposes of responding to requests, presentation of analysis, coordination of action, guidance and presentation of information.
- Circumstances will often arise when this position will delicately balance opposing points of view, and provide independent facilitation and guidance to a reasonable understanding and/or consensus
- Knowledge of computer business applications and data base management systems.
