Summary Description:
This position will manage the day-to-day warehousing operations for the Gorilla Glue Tri County facility.
What will your day look like?
- Labor and equipment planning.
- Liaison with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that materials are delivered in a timely fashion to all work areas.
- The development of warehouse operations system by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.
- Meeting the warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements and initiating corrective actions.
- Developing, maintaining, and reporting on performance metrics through daily monitoring of labor and productivity.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.
- Assisting with the implementation of new equipment and processes.
- Responsibility for building and cultivating team member morale, motivation, and loyalty by encouraging participation in plant activities and special events.
- Project Management in conjunction with upper management.
- Delegating tasks properly while still achieving a “hands on” approach.
- Making the company more productive by providing effective methods in its business operations.
- Effective use of the WMS.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
What will you bring to the table?
- BS in applicable degree (preferably in Operations Mgmt or Engineering).
- Seven years of experience in a warehousing environment.
- Four years of experience managing direct reports (supervisors/engineers).
