Job Opening:

The Department of Conservation and Recreation, seeks applicants for a Policy and Public Affairs (Contracted Student Interns Unpaid), 2026 Fall Semester to perform the duties listed below.

This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Interns may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university.

 

General Statement of Duties and Job Responsibilities:

The Policy Intern will support the Deputy Commissioner of Policy and Public Affairs, the Director of Partnerships, and the Regional Legislative/Partnership Coordinators. They will assist with a number of tasks related to DCR's Partnership program and the implementation of the agency's new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Through these activities, the Policy Intern will learn more about how public agencies outreach and interact with stakeholders and partner organizations to achieve mutual goals.
