Overview
The Tank Coordinator position serves in the Maintenance Department at CRLLC and reports to the Tank and Programs Supervisor. This role is responsible for the execution of projects under the control of the Tanks and Program Group.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of projects being managed by the Tank and Programs Group per the master schedule.
- Ensure that the projects are conducted in a manor to meet HES expectations. This includes monitoring contractor safety, ensuring proper PPE compliance of work force, maintaining proper jobsite housekeeping, and compliance with environmental requirements.
- Ensure that permits are being received as necessary to support the work being executed. Permits, JJSV, JHAs, and the required forms should be reviewed periodically to verify safety aspects are being addressed. Permits should be received timely to avoid delays in execution of the projects.
- Ensure that work being completed meets mechanical integrity expectations.
- Maintain good communication to all groups involved with tank projects. This can be in the form of meetings, meeting minutes, emails, etc.
- Manage the contractor manpower per the master schedule, weekly schedule, and 3-week look ahead.
- Schedule contractors (nested and non-nested) to meet project schedules. This will include but is not limited to kick-off meetings, bid meetings, mob / de-mob timing, etc.
- Ensure materials are on hand when needed to perform scheduled scopes of work.
- Monitor contractor productivity and indirect ratio.
- Manage rental equipment used on the jobs to control costs incurred by the group.
- Review TRACK to ensure contractors are utilizing the correct work orders for scopes being worked. Scopes being charged to the incorrect work orders shall be rejected and resubmitted by the contractor on the correct work orders.
- Assist the Tank Planner with the preparation of Time and Material Deviations (TMDs) for the Tank supervisors and / or engineer review and approval.
- Assist the Tank Planner with progressing projects in STOX when necessary.
- Support the Tank Supervisor, Cost Control group, and MPC specialists in developing annual budgets and forecast estimates.
- Work with contractors, engineering, environmental, safety, operations, tech services, inspection, and MPC crafts as needed to support project development and execution.
- Assist in the development of bid packages on selected work scopes.
- Review E&I drawings throughout the design phases for adherence to specifications, accuracy, constructability, etc. Manage temporary power needs for Tank and Programs projects. This includes the use of generators, feeding from plant system, etc.
- Oversee electrical contractors and MPC E&I personnel working on Tank and Programs Group projects. Address informational needs necessary by working with maintenance supervision, reliability engineering, corporate SMEs, project engineer, and project electrical engineer.
- Prepare isolation scopes, drawing updates, etc. on selected demo project.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- 5+ years of E&I experience required.
- Construction experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite & Primavera P6 experience is a plus.
