Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Sr. QA Analyst (IT) is responsible for feature testing, system testing, and writing automated tests. This position works closely with application developers, business analysts, and infrastructure engineers through all stages of the software development process to ensure that all systems meet organization standards and end-user requirements. The QA analyst works on the most complex systems and problems as well as coordinates with the Offshore QC analysts.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Oversees all testing staff and activities for all assigned applications and projects; ensures all testing standards are being met.

• Defines test process including required test activities and deliverables.

• Identifies test resources, estimates test effort and defines test schedule and milestones.

• Analyzes and recommends improvements to the quality assurance (QA) process and procedures to management.

• Ensures technical resources are organized for effective support of testing, conducting walk-through of test strategy.

• Manages process to make sure test environments are refreshed and ready.

• Reviews requirements, Logical and Physical Application Designs.

• Ensures traceability of test cases back to project requirements.

• Assists as a resource to test analyst in the creation of test cases and approves test cases.

• Conducts test readiness assessment.

• Coordinates and monitors the execution of all test cases, log and review issues and defects identified by testers.

• Collects testing sign-off from all testing participants.

• Ensures all aspects of testing, such as: manual execution, regression, automation and performance testing is completed.

  
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Waste /Environment Services industry experience.

• Web Services/API testing

• Agile / Scrum experience

• HP QA Tools –ALM, UFT /QTP, Load Runner

• Test Automation experience using UFT and Selenium

• Software Quality Assurance Certification from an industry recognized organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5 years of Software Testing and relevant quality assurance (QA) technical experience

• Experience with end-to-end testing involving multiple systems

• Good understanding of Databases, efficient in writing SQL queries

• Minimum of 2 years Test automation experience
