Physical Therapist - Outpatient - 40 hours - Sign On bonus!!

Performs evaluations of referred patients, then plans and implements exercise and treatments to rehabilitate the physical faculties of both in and out patients; functions within the policies, practice guidelines, procedures and physician directives of SMA and the department of Ambulatory Care in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to direct the provision of care appropriate to the age of patients served
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principals of growth and development
• Able to assess and interpret data reflective of the client’s status
• Provides and directs care outlined in standards, policies and procedures
• SMH orientation required
• Command of verbal and written English
• Leadership management abilities
• Operation of clinical equipment
• Demonstrates clinical competence
• Positive interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

• Acute care therapy experience
• New graduates accepted

Educational Requirements:

• Graduate from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
• DPT program in Physical Therapy preferred

License/Certification:

• Current MA licensure
