JOB SUMMARY
The National Logistics Associate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions within the area. This role is the final check process before equipment moves over to setup and confirms order is complete and ready. This is a leadership role with a high level of responsibility and accountability.
National Logistics Associate, in addition to the normal Logistic Associate responsibilities, are also responsible for extensive travel to various regions, adapting to diverse customer environments. Associates will face varying work schedules based on customer needs, project scope, and availability, including potential for irregular hours. This position may require overnight and extended trips, up to two weeks at a time, away from home branch based on business needs. This position will also require driving and customer deliveries on larger installation projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receiving items needed and transferring equipment into the proper bins (not main Bin )
• Requesting equipment from purchasing and creating Transfer orders from other branches
• Tracking open Purchasing orders and Transferred Orders
• Works with purchasing for any needs and getting ETA
• Update sales orders on back order
• Manages best warehouse practices
• Managing the description field and the message tab for e-automate system
• Managing Back Orders with ETA to DEX
• Performing cycle counts in E-Auto on a monthly basis
• Develop and retain key talent for department
• Adheres to all safety precautions and follow all safety requirements to properly complete job tasks.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
• Typically reports to: Regional Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Manager
• Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g. hiring/termination and/pay decisions, performance management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, vendors and customers
• Fork truck certification and experience
• Being able to work under pressure and working with the sales team
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs independently or greater weights via team lift or lift assist equipment.
• Great organizational and time management skills
• Being able to work in inclement weather conditions
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, to include Outlook and Excel
• Ability to complete basic math operations
• Ability to read and comprehend written procedures, write routine documents
