Coordinator BJob Description Summary
Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Advising, the Academic Advisor and Program Coordinator will provide critical advising and programmatic support for the School of Engineering and Applied Science. As part of an office that supports the full undergraduate population, the Academic Advisor and Program Coordinator will provide high-level advising support and connect students with University resources. Work with University partners to schedule regular programming for undergraduate students to enhance their academic experience, e.g., study habits, financial literacy, mental health resources, etc. Finally, the Academic Advisor and Program Coordinator will support undergraduate admissions, including giving presentations, supporting Quaker Days, and collaborating with central Admissions.Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Program Coordination
- Run programs related to various advising team-led initiatives and special programs
- Coordinate New Student Orientation (Recruiting and hiring Orientation Peer Advisors, scheduling speakers, catering, reserving space, etc.)
- Work with University partners to schedule regular programming for undergraduate students to enhance their academic experience, e.g., study habits, financial literacy, mental health resources, etc.
Academic Advising
- Serve as academic advisor for undergraduate students as part of the advising team for both virtual and in-person advising sessions (e.g., MSE and ESE departments)
- Work with students on a case-by-case basis to provide enhanced support toward academic success and co-curricular development
- Connect students with wellness and student success resources across campus
