Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting career opportunity for a (Senior) Associate in the Antitrust & Competition Practice at our Warsaw office.
Job Requirements:
· Merger Control: Handle merger control notifications before the Polish Antitrust Authority and the European Commission, including most complex Phase II cases.
· M&A transactions: Provide comprehensive competition law advice including shaping structures of the M&A transactions, drafting relevant documentation and conducting due diligence analyses.
· General Competition Law Advice: Provide comprehensive advice on all other aspects of competition law, including cartels, abuse of dominance, vertical and horizontal agreements.
· Representing the Clients: Advise the Clients and take the lead before the competition law authorities and courts.
· Antitrust Investigations: Support the Clients in internal antitrust investigations and dawn raids.
· Contract Advice: Draft and review contracts to ensure compliance with competition law.
· Competition Compliance: Shape and implement compliance programs.
· Consumer Law: Provide comprehensive advice on consumer law issues including shaping sales processes, drafting and reviewing general terms and conditions and providing other day-to-day legal advice.
· Other Proceedings: Represent the Clients in other proceedings conducted by the Polish Antitrust Authority including proceedings related to abuse of contractual advantage and payment gridlock proceedings.
· Unfair Competition: Provide advice on regulations related to acts of unfair competition.
We expect:
· A Master’s degree in law.
· Bar admission or current participation in a legal advisor/advocate traineeship.
· At least 4 years of relevant work experience in competition and consumer protection law.
· A strong focus on clients’ needs, willingness to take on responsibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
· Fluent, practical command of spoken and written legal English.
· Very good organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and a “can-do” attitude.
· A proactive, supportive, and team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills.
