The Position

The Opportunity

Work shift: weekends, 2nd shift: Thursday - Monday 2:00 pm -10:30 pm.

As a Maintenance Technician in the GenMark team, your main task is to support the development and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, instruments, fixtures, and tooling used in manufacturing, research, and development environments. Also, in this position, you are:

  • Troubleshooting and adjusting as needed the Mechanical, Electrical and software-related issues on GenMark’s ePlex Cartridge and Consumable manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Following step-by-step instructions to perform assigned Preventive Maintenance on production equipment as well as maintain manufacturing and R&D equipment and instruments to the manufacturers’ specifications
  • Assits with process improvement projects to include spare parts program  fixtures needed to support manufacturing, R&D, and other company needs

Additional responsibilities for Maintenance Technician II

  • Executing equipment validations (IQ/OQ) and documenting all activities following Good Documentation Practices. Documenting Equipment and Engineering activities in accordance to established procedures, company policies and FDA.
  • Leading special projects as requested and perform additional duties as assigned

 

Who you are

Maintenance Technician I

  • You hold a High School Diploma (required) with at 0-2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment OR a technical/trade school degree is (preferred). Your experience is focused on electro-mechanical equipment repair, troubleshooting, systems calibrations, and/ or preventive maintenance
  • Knowledge of CGMP, FDA 21 CFR-Part 820, or other regulated environments

    Maintenance Technician II

    • You hold a High School Diploma (required) with at least 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment OR a technical/trade school degree is (preferred). Your experience is focused on electro-mechanical equipment repair, troubleshooting, systems calibrations, and/ or preventive maintenance
    • Asset Database Management system experience required
    • Knowledge of CGMP, FDA 21 CFR-Part 820 required
    • Knowledge and experience with laboratory diagnostic instrument software and systems these

    Relocation benefits are not available for this job position.

    The expected salary range for these positions based on the primary location of Carslbad, CA is 40,700.00 - 75,700.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
