Senior Software Architect

Over the years, Apixa has engaged in a multitude of both research oriented projects and industrial automation projects, and amongst its customers there are both renowned international players and high-tech niche players </p><p><strong>What will you do?</strong><br/></p><ul> <li>You will be part of a team developing challenging <strong>computer vision</strong> solutions for our customers.</li> <li>You will design the system and software architecture of our solutions. </li> <li>You will design and develop “industrial grade” applications:<ul> <li>Development of hardware interfaces (cameras and other sensors) </li> <li>Design and implementation of Graphical User Interfaces (Qt)</li> </ul> </li> <li>You will develop reusable software components for other projects.</li> <li>You will work on the development and maintenance of our software framework for industrial computer vision projects.</li> <li>You will contribute to the maintenance of our coding guidelines and do reviews of code of other developers and engineers.</li> <li>You will work on the development and maintenance of our software kernels.</li> <li>You will mentor colleagues on all aspects related to software engineering, from design to implementation and best practices.</li> </ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Deep experience in OO design, design patterns and architectural methodologies (e.g. DDD)</li> <li>Experience defining APIs.</li> <li>Highly proficient in modern C++ (11 (or later))</li> <li>Expert knowledge of Python</li> <li>Knowledge of both Windows as Linux developments </li> <li>Experienced in Visual Studio</li> <li>Expert understanding of the Git version control system.</li> <li>Qt (5) for GUI design and development</li> <li>Deep understanding of database design and development (SQL, noSQL,…) </li> <li>(Unit) testing frameworks</li> <li>Code documentation (Doxygen)</li> </ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Nice to have or willing to learn, knowledge of:</strong><br/></p><ul> <li>CMake</li> <li>Yocto</li> <li>CUDA</li> <li>TwinCAT3</li> </ul><p><br/></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Apart from a competitive salary package, Apixa offers a fun and exciting work environment where you will be part of a team that is at the forefront of computer vision technologies.
