The Bearings, Seals, and Hydraulics (BSH) Engineering Group has an immediate opening for a Project Manager located at the BSH Facility in Euclid, Ohio. The selected candidate for this role will be responsible for supporting the planning and technical execution of power generation components. This position will coordinate between shop operations and the engineering team to meet the customer’s needs and expectations. This candidate will ensure timely deliverables by managing project action items to ensure the required progress is met. 


  

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with customers to support effective and efficient communication of project status and technical detail.
  • Communicate recommended work scopes to the customer and obtain approval. 
  • Communicate approved work scopes to production.
  • Estimate and communicate hours and costs needed to complete jobs and discovery work.
  • Facilitate jobs by ensuring production has proper tooling, parts and supplies to proceed.
  • Review and submit daily status updates to customers. 
  • Communicate frequently with customers regarding schedule requirements and changes.
  • Communicate frequently with production and across the engineering team to meet customer schedule requirements and needs. 
  • Monitoring of shop load schedule and capacity to align with upcoming jobs and quoting of emergent work. 
  • Ensure all component descriptions are accurate.
  • Review all customer purchase orders to ensure technical specifications are addressed.
  • Ensure all engineering documents and communication is properly filed.
  • Monitor inventory usage and establish proper min/max quantities.
  • Review and plan inventory adjustments for upcoming jobs based on outage forecast schedules.
  • Planning, executing, and closing projects efficiently.
  • Define project scopes, monitor available resources, and mitigate project risks.
  • Ability and willingness support emergent work items during nights and weekends, as required during unplanned and scheduled outages.
  • Travel up to 15% to other MD&A shop locations and customer power plant sites as needed.

Requirements

This role is not eligible for sponsporship - local Candidates preferred  


Education: Associates or Bachelors in a Business or Technical Degree or 5 years of relevant experience in areas of Project Management in Power Generator Industry, Construction Management, etc.


Requirements:

• Positive attitude/team player.

• Self-starter that demonstrates initiative.

• Technical background highly preferred. 

• Mechanical inclination with the ability to apply knowledge to hands-on solutions.

• Ability to take direction and act independently.

• Strong communication and organization skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain organized while doing so.


Physical Demands: Exposure to repair shops and office environments; Ability to travel to various shops within MD&A and to field locations both domestically and internationally as needed. Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
