Legend Biotech is seeking Sr. Finance Manager as part of the Finance team based in Raritan, NJ.
Role Overview
The Sr. Finance Manager will lead accounting and FP&A for the Raritan manufacturing plant. This individual will be responsible for proper design and effectiveness of internal controls as well as ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures. The Sr. Finance Manager will advise plant management on financial strategy and work closely with all functional areas within the plant including Technical Operations, Quality, and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership to the Raritan Site Leadership Team to define and achieve long term financial objectives including providing support for business decisions requiring a financial/business assessment.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close cycles for the Raritan Plant.
- Implement and refine plant management reporting including key financial performance metrics around inventory, cost of goods sold, revenue, and capital.
- Develop, implement, and oversee annual budget process, rolling forecast, and long-range financial planning for the Raritan plant.
- Drive overall ERP system process improvements to execute on automation strategy and enhance financial control framework.
- Ensure design and operating effectiveness of internal controls related to inventory and revenue.
- Maintain proper risk control matrices (RCMs), process narratives and flows related to inventory and revenue accounting.
- Manage internal and external audit requests for substantive and analytical testing, periodic audits, and control walkthroughs.
- Increase productivity by developing automated accounting applications and coordinating information requirements.
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and analysis of financial reporting in accordance with IAS.
- Ensure uncompromising integrity, transparent and timely internal controls, and financial compliance process.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
- Contributes to team effort by reporting and educating team on financial status/initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. MBA and/or CPA required.
- 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing finance/accounting role in the biopharmaceutical and/or medical devices industry.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and experience performing financial modeling, forecasting and budget related activities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
- Strength in communicating and working independently and effectively with broad stakeholders in various scientific/technical/business disciplines.
- Ability to objectively evaluate options/trade-offs and develop senior management-level recommendations.
- Exceptional influencing capabilities with an ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and across multiple functions.
- Process-oriented with strong analytical skills for risk identification and management.
- Experience with ERP systems development, implementation, and lifecycle management is a plus.
