Based in West Hartford CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Position
TRIUMPH is actively recruiting a 2024 summer intern to support the Component Engineering team.
The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, good writing ability, and must be self-motivated with good interpersonal and team skills.
Responsibilities
Applicant will be responsible for supporting the component engineering group at Triumph with the following:
•Assist in obsolescence review of Bill of Materials (BOM), new and replacement parts to validate End of Life (EOL)
•Assist in reviewing New Part Requests (NPR) to utilize proven technology, multiple sources and cost effectiveness.
•Assist in investigating Supplier Request for Information (SRI) to determine root cause and corrective action on failed or non-conforming components/processes.
•Support Design Engineering in creating comprehensive specifications on new components.
•Work will include data entry and review using our PLM system (Omnify).
Qualifications
•Qualified candidates must be a rising Junior or Senior, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
•Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering.
•Must have strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to adapt to new challenges.
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, some knowledge of database structure preferred.
•Experience reading component datasheets, using Silicon Expert and a PLM system (specifically Omnify Empower) is a plus.
•Good writing ability
•Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•Able to work independently or across teams.
