Maintenance Mechanic 2 - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Job Description

•    Under direct supervision, performs a variety of general maintenance tasks requiring knowledge of various building maintenance.  
•    Performs repair and maintenance of plant equipment such as HVAC and compressors; vacuum pumps, etc; performs a variety of carpentry and simple plumbing tasks, and maintains interior paint surfaces; troubleshoots equipment and/or facilities problems and reports them to supervisor or group leader. 
•    May perform other duties of a similar nature and complexity, as well as custodial tasks, as directed by supervisor. 
•    Assists with Hazardous Waste management and recycling programs, under direction of the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager.
•    Will serve as part of the emergency on-call coverage team, as needed, to maintain reliable Facilities services (in accordance with applicable Vicor policy for such coverage). 

Education / Qualifications

•    High school/vocational school diploma, or equivalent experience.
•    3-5 years' applicable facilities support experience.
•    General working knowledge of plant facilities equipment and systems:
HVAC, air compressors, vacuum pumps, chilled water systems, energy management systems, and
     alarm systems
•    Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds 
•    Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
•    Computer experience with email and proprietary databases. Must be comfortable using a smart phone to complete these tasks.

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $25 - $30/hour
