Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Associate Production Equipment Maintenance Technician (Level B) to support our Ground Support Equipment Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable Shift!

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who will work under general supervision with understanding of the job.  The candidate will perform maintenance on factory equipment; troubleshoot, analyze, inspect, disassemble, rebuild, modify and test factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Position Responsibilities:

• Repairs and maintains GSE equipment and demonstrates experience in these areas.

• Responds to service calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity for equipment repair.

• Identifies and requests component and replacement part inventories.

• Follows safety procedures and regulations.

• Interprets basic electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.                          

• Utilizes a variety of hand and powered shop tools to repair equipment.

• Works with electrical systems and electronic components of industrial GSE equipment, following manuals, schematic, and other specifications.

• Ensures operation of mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and repairs on GSE equipment as needed. Following the operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

• May provide guidance to less experienced employees.

• May receive specialized equipment training.

• Assist in training to peers and customers on the general use of equipment.

• Exhibits Boeing behaviors.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Must be willing and able to work any shift including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

• 1+ years of experience in equipment maintenance.

• 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics (preferably electrical, mechanical and pneumatic).

• 1+ years of experience utilizing volt-ohm meters and micrometers.

• 1+ years of experience using MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel at a minimum).

• 1+ years of experience in a customer facing role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years of experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

• 1+ years of experience with automation systems maintenance, robotics systems, and various types of equipment controllers, such as Siemens 840D, Fanuc, and Allen Bradley.

• 1+ years of experience troubleshooting and operating PLCs (preferably Siemens and Allen Bradley).

• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
