The Matching Grant (MG) Program Officer is part of the Economic Empowerment headquarters’ team that supports a network of affiliates and local World Relief sites in the implementation of the MG Program. The MG Program Officer will work closely with staff by supporting their success in meeting program objectives and remaining in compliance with the overall scope of the program. This will be done through training, technical assistance, monitoring, and targeted program support.

Role & Responsibilities

• Serve as a contact person for the resettlement partners and local WR program sites.
• Respond to daily inquiries from affiliates and staff on program implementation.
• Support MG staff to carry out internal monitoring activities of active new MG sites, analyze findings, and produce subsequent detailed reports.
• Assist in developing MG resource materials and facilitate training support for affiliate training partners. 
• Provide instruction and guidance on data entry, documentation, reporting, and other service delivery requirements to affiliate partners. 
• Collaborate with Matching Grant Program Manager on innovative program projects that benefit local MG staff. 
• Work closely with MG Manager in implementation of the performance improvement plan of an underperforming site and track the progress towards the goal. 
• Contributes to reports and proposal submissions to external stakeholders and funders as needed.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Experience volunteering or working with refugee programs, preferably in the Matching Grant Program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Experience providing coaching and mentoring.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to write and edit narrative and technical reports for internal and external audiences.
• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.

• Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of nonprofit experience preferred in refugee resettlement. 
• Strong computer skills and previous database management experience required.
• Ability and desire to travel domestically up to 10% of the time with possibility of increased travel after 1 year.
