Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing technical projects to ensure they are completed on time, compliant with FAA rules and policies, and according to scope and quality requirements. They will coordinate resources, manage risks, and achieve project objectives.
This position will independently performs complex tasks related to defining and proposing performance requirements, and optimization of telecommunications networks and services. Analyzes and evaluates network operations efficiencies and recommends design changes to improve services to users. Responsible for providing technical or supervisory leadership for Contractor employees in areas supported.
They will manage the timely submission of project forms including:
Oversee / provide logistics and planning for FAA network communication upgrade projects:
Update CWP (Corporate Work Plan) Portal, FAA.gov Project information & tracking tool. Primavera P6 schedule knowledge.
Communicate with Telecom Vendors as required. Primary is L3 Harris. SDSA (Short Duration Sunset Announcements), SCP (Special Construction Projects) & RTIR Terrestrial (Fiber) & Cellular Equipment Projects (LTE).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree and 16 years of relevant experience
- A tradeoff might be possible for a Master’s degree and 3 less years of experience or an Associate’s degree and 2 more years of work experience, contingent on FAA approval.
- Primavera P6 schedule knowledge.
- Ability to work at either the FAA Cleveland Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZOB) located at Cleveland Center 326 East Lorain Street, Oberlin, Ohio, or the Minneapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) located at 512 Division Street in Farmington, Minnesota
