About our group:
The Minnesota Campus Facilities Engineering Team is responsible for engineering, contract, and contractor management in support of one of Seagate’s most complex locations. The team assembles requirements, performs design work, supervises construction, and facilitates maintenance across the 35-acre campus. The teams oversight includes 730,000 square feet of offices, high-tech clean rooms, labs, and manufacturing space with 24-hour operations.
About the role - you will:
- Supervise a diverse team of engineering professionals including mechanical/electrical/controls/project/tool install engineers plus outside A+E consultants & contractors to deliver results.
- Develop and implement projects to support the site overall.
- Plan, provide resources, and direct activities in engineering functions to meet schedules, standards, and cost.
- Identify and analyse problems to plan for viable solutions.
- Liase with and Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, city, regulatory bodies, and company laws, codes, regulations, and procedures.
- Monitor and optimize utility consumption.
- Primary liaison on site energy initiatives
- Take responsibility for the reliable delivery of process utilities and manufacturing environment.
- Implement Systems solutions and Automation upgrades.
- Plan and execute expense and capital budgets.
- Interact with site departments, leadership, and personnel.
- Participate in corporate initiatives.
- Work closely with maintenance, space management and contract management to ensure quality of service to supported onsite customers.
- Develop, provide guidance, and educate supervised employees.
- Present to senior management.
- Work closely with Facilities Maintenance Managers as a team to support and troubleshoot building infrastructure systems.

Your experience includes:
- 5-10 years of engineering experience
- Worked in a semiconductor, medical device, or electronics manufacturing facility.
- People management experience
- Verbal communication in small and large group settings
- Written communication using common office software.
- Data analysis skills in Office, JMP, Minitab or equivalent
- Business Excellence experience with 8D, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing
- Bachelor’s or Master’s or Higher Degree in Engineering or similar field
You might also have:
- Diagnostic Skills on complex building systems
- Certification in 8D, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Systems
- Experience with ISO 50001 Energy Management Standard
