SALARY RANGE: BOE
ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
JOB SUMMARY:
• Responsible for the management of our quality systems, procedures, and policies along the entire supply chain to ensure high quality product and total customer satisfaction.
• Assist the Sovereign Pipe Technologies Operations Manager with all production quality items as needed within established guidelines including startup of new products, new product lines, facilities, and expansion from a technical, equipment, and execution standpoint.
• Define, develop, and implement quality system, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
• Collaborates with R&D Engineers and executes the quality tasks of the new product development process for verification/validation of new products, risk management, and quality control.
• Initiate the proper certification process and procedures to maintain compliance with industry standards. Participate in industry groups PPI, ASTM, and others to maintain up-to-date information on technical activities and supporting goals and positions in the market.
• Work with manufacturing to maintain consistent product and process improvements.
• Assure the highest level of quality for incoming and outgoing goods and services.
• Performs analysis for continuous improvement of quality.
• Coordinates the quality aspect of customer complaints and CPAR processes.
• Proficient in clearly communicating directions and in influencing personnel in adopting the best solutions, tools, working practices and promotes cooperation in defining the highest product quality.
• Manages the daily operations of the quality department to optimize safety, workforce knowledge, quality, costs, and strategic deadline achievement.
• Must work with limited supervision and involved in and have input to project planning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Manage the Quality Management System for compliance to complete company certifications including managing all aspects of internal audits, documentation, SOP’s, corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform internal audits, supplier, and vendor audits on scheduled basis.
• Prepare and host customer visits and audits from other third parties.
• Maintain company calibration program, participate, and run Quality Management Reviews, make recommendations to senior management to improve quality systems.
• Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements collaborating with interdepartmental teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Train auditors and perform audits as required in compliance with SOP’s and QMS’s.
• Assist with solving performance and quality problems by interacting with all personnel to ensure that corrective and preventative actions in place.
• Write five phase and make sure that management is understanding and notified of any incidents in the plant or field.
• Promote the use of company best practices. Develop procedures and training materials in support of the Quality Management System requirements.
• Ensure all quality testing is performed to standards on incoming resins, color, burst, ribbon, ring, pressure, ash, print line, and packaging.
• Co-develop a culture that has a disciplined systematic approach to "Risk Management" in the work practices involved in designing, building, operation and maintaining our facilities and infrastructure.

• Establish controls and action plans to mitigate gaps in performance. Assists in Lean, KPI, and other efficiency goals and processes including root cause analyses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 standard.
• API Q1 experience strongly preferred.
• Microsoft Office, Internet, Other computer programs such as File maker or other database programs.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, or related field required.
• 10 years of related experience with a minimum of 5 years in a managing role.
• Basic knowledge of computer functions and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• HDPE smooth wall pipe manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Expertise with investigational tools such as fishbone diagram, brainstorming and pareto charts.
• Quality Manager and Quality Auditor certifications (CQM, CQA) are a plus.
