Roles and Responsibilities:
Seeking a dynamic Field Quality Supervisor with strong leadership skills, ability to identify/mitigate risks and develop quality control programs for one of the most advanced semiconductor facilities in the United States. You will oversee, mentor, and provide decision support to a team of 4-5 technicians focused on daily field quality inspections. You will collaborate with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to maintain and improve quality compliance within the organization.
Specific Job Duties:
• Lead a team of technicians who oversee field quality of various work within infra
• Manage technicians’ coverage and balance technician staffing to meet business needs.
• Conduct job walks to validate preparation and planning for work activities.
• Monitor workflow to achieve KPIs, goals and objectives.
• Lead group safety and quality meetings; communicate company and departmental direction to subordinates.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable EH&S Standards including, but not limited to: PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry and Respiratory Protection.
• Provide technical, environmental, safety and quality training to operations personnel.
• Direct oversight and leadership of assigned supervisors to include PTO approvals, coaching, career development, annual evaluations and performance management. Serve as delegate approver for technician time cards and ensure proper coverage while supervisor is out.
• Report quality and safety issues immediately via the department’s escalation process. Conduct initial investigation and root cause analysis.
• Support management and development of annual expense budgets
• Support the development of safety and quality projects to improve infra system performance and reliability
• Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction
• Ability to anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
• Develop quality control methods, procedures and programs.
• Implement, administer and advise others on hazard control & quality control programs.
• Works to become familiar with, and strictly adhere to, standard operating procedures, suggesting safety and quality improvements as needed.
• Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of quality control elements.
• Evaluation of regulatory compliance associated with safety & quality programs/policies.
• Create inspection reports and provide improvement recommendations.
• Responds to life safety and security alarms conditions
• Able to work overtime in abnormal situations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• Aptitude for documentation and data analysis
• Familiarity with design, installation and commissioning of mechanical and chemical systems is preferred
• Strong capability to work with Microsoft Office tools (excel, PowerPoint, word, etc.) and ability to quickly become proficient with Samsung in house software tools.
• Project management experience
• Prior experience in semiconductor or industrial facilities is preferred
• Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, and 45001
