Teacher, Math/Computer Science (EX) - St. Mary's High School, Annapolis MD

Full-time faculty position teaching Math/Computer Science in a Catholic, co-ed, college ­preparatory setting, serving 500 students in Annapolis, MD. Candidates should have an active faith life and an informed understanding of the mission of the Roman Catholic Church and the many ways in which that mission applies to the formation of young men and women in a Catholic school setting.

Essential Functions

• Plan and deliver engaging age-appropriate lessons.
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Strive to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of every student.
• Communicate effectively with parents, responding to inquiries in an empathetic and timely manner.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, parents, and community members in educating students.
• Teach a combination of math and computer science courses. Specifically, the candidate must be capable of teaching Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Trigonometry as well as introductory computer science courses for freshmen.
• Proficient with iPad technology and comfortable with technology use as it relates to teaching duties.

Position Qualifications

• Experience in a Catholic school preferred, but not required
• Bachelor's degree in Math and/or Computer Science, required.
• MSDE certification, or willingness to pursue certification, required.
• Master's Degree, preferred.
• High School teaching experience is preferred.
