Job Description
Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to manage our Cafeteria in Clarion, IA. As a member of our team, you will plan, prepare and coordinate all daily cafeteria activities and special events. Oversee operations including ordering, inventory, meal planning, food preparation and service. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. - Manage all aspects of kitchen operations and food production.
- Responsible for ordering food, maintaining budgets, planning menu, preparing and serving meals.
- Responsible for preparation and distribution of menu items for Hagie lunch plus Hagie events and special functions.
- Keep up to date with state food quality standards and codes.
- Safety is #1 - Will follow safety guidelines in operating all cooking equipment.
- Follow clean-as-you-go policy.
- Keep up to date on latest food, industry and restaurant trends.
Qualifications
- Culinary degree and/or at least 3 years progressive cooking experience in a restaurant or a related environment.
- ServSafe Manager Certification.
- Ability to work under pressure plus the ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge and compliance of health department rules and regulations.
- Experience with product and recipe development.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and other PC programs.
- Creativity is always welcome.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting: Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently.
- Constant standing: Must be able to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours at a time.
- Reaching, bending and stooping is required on a frequent basis.
