Director, Office of the Chief Clinical Officer-Health System Operations-Corporate- Hybrid
The Director works collaboratively with the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) and key senior leaders to plan and implement strategic priorities, ensure alignment and integration across the CCO portfolio, and drive effective execution of clinical strategies. He/she will play a pivotal role in a dynamic, clinical and operational environment by serving as the operations point of contact in the management and daily operations of high priority programs/projects/initiatives within the CCO portfolio.
Collaborate with MSHS CCO and other senior leaders to help prioritize and execute strategic plans, priorities, and initiatives that align with the organization’s clinical goals.
Translate strategic priorities into operational reality by aligning communication, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results.
Lead strategic projects and initiatives on behalf of the CCO, overseeing cross-functional teams and driving successful outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders external to the CCO Office including DTP, HR, and Finance, to ensure collaborative execution of initiatives
Oversee all aspects of an initiative lifecycle from ideation, scoping, planning, and execution, sustainment and measurement
Translate strategic priorities into operational reality by aligning communication, accountabilities, resource capabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensure that strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results
Own and manage the full portfolio of strategic and operational initiatives
Provide regular updates on initiatives and overall performance to health system leadership, service line leadership and other key stakeholders
Prepare presentations, reports and analyses associated with the programs/projects for key stakeholders
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by engaging frontline staff, promoting idea generation, and embedding operational excellence principles into daily work
Manage team members (directly or indirectly) ensuring appropriate approach and execution of strategic initiatives
- Bachelors Degree required, Masters degree preferred
- 5-7 years minimum of experience in health care finance or administration; experience in strategic planning and execution, formulating policy, building and developing financial plans, managing resources and leading successful teams
Strong background in healthcare operations
Exceptional project management skills
Experience in strategic planning and translating high-level goals into actionable initiatives
Ability to design and take initiatives from abstract ideas to concrete plans, thinking strategically and also executing with an attention to detail
Ability to apply continuous improvement methodologies and recommendations in project work
Experience with data analysis, interpretation and metric performance monitoring
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $140,000.00 - $230,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
