Job Description
The Sales Trainee Representative will provide a pipeline of sales and marketing personnel by developing recent college graduates to advance their professional sales and marketing career within our Medical Systems Group (MSG). While officially reporting to the Regional Vice President (RVP), the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) members will have responsibility to mentor the fellows allowing the ELP members to gain valuable coaching and leadership experience. Together, the RVP, EAM and ELP member will provide the necessary development that will allow candidates to advance their professional sales and marketing career at Olympus Corporation of the Americas.
The Sales Trainee Representative (STR) will be developed over an 18-month timeframe allowing them to gain valuable knowledge with our Sales Training Department and our Field Sales Trainer and will be assigned a field-based territory as part of a specific regional sales team. The majority of the training will occur while in the field working with the assigned EAM and RVP.

Job Duties
- Completing virtual and classroom training curriculum, inclusive of: sales process training, clinical training, business acumen training and medical device product training.
- Assisting with demos and installations
- Staffing in services and case support
- Uncovering and developing additional needs in key accounts to expand our portfolio
- Promoting new product launches and help maintain current business.
- Assisting in maintaining, managing, and developing Olympus service business
- Assisting with contract maintenance including lease turnovers, service contract assistance, leveraged agreement management
- Assisting with regional workshops
- Assisting EAM with account management duties including developing, implementing and managing an effective territory management plan in collaboration with the EAM, ELP member and RVP
- Completing special projects as assigned
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Must have demonstrated leadership skills. A passion for continued learning is essential.
- Upon successful completion of the 18-month assignment, participants will be eligible to advance into a full-time position within our Field Sales Organization in an assigned territory, Associate Representative roles, or in-house Marketing or office building nation-wide as determined by availability. Ability to relocate significantly enhances additional opportunities. Throughout the program, the candidate will be exposed to a dynamic, fast-paced environment designed to develop exceptional business acumen and clinical selling skills.
