We are searching for a strategic and dynamic leader to lead our Marketing Planning, Events, and Vendor Management sectors within the Global Marketing Team. This person will lead and coordinate initiatives related to events/trade shows, set the course for Global Marketing Planning, and direct Vendor Management operations for the CHI Division, aligning with global and regional marketing objectives. This leadership role demands seamless collaboration across various marketing functions, sales, and inter-departmental interfaces between CHI and other Lonza divisions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Marketing Planning Oversight:
    • Lead cross-regional marketing endeavors to synchronize, streamline, and optimize global marketing strategies.
    • Drive the formulation of the global marketing blueprint and serve as the primary mentor for regional marketing teams, guiding the creation of their annual tactical agendas.
    • Drive and champion the annual budgeting forecast, ensuring alignment across global and regional marketing teams
  • Event Management:
    • Manage a global events calendar, highlighting events directly overseen by this role and coordinating with regional events for a combined global view.
    • Handle the worldwide stock of marketing and promotional items, making sure materials are always available and introducing new ones with the help of regional marketing teams and suppliers.
    • Oversee all logistics for major CHI events and ensure events stick to their set schedules.
  • Vendor management strategy:
    • Supervise the operational part of the worldwide marketing SharePoint site while ensuring impeccable fiscal diligence in marketing, encompassing purchase orders, invoicing, and systematic budgetary updates.
    • Strategize vendor budget allocations and procurement processes, harmonizing them with regional and global marketing visions.
    • Formulate streamlined strategies with global and regional admin supports to guarantee punctual and complete payment processing, reinforcing budget alignment

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Marketing related fields
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in event management field
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Global mindset with demonstrated ability to work with remote/virtual teams
  • Team player and able to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across functions
  • Advanced knowledge of the intricacies of global marketing landscapes, vendor negotiations, and budgetary management.
  • Strong in organizing and planning, capable of managing multiple tasks in parallel
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills required with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with middle and senior levels of management
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently

The full-time base annual salary for this remote position is expected to range between $142,000 and $173,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the location of the successful candidate, qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge. Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including performance-related bonus, medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off (PTO), and more.
