Responsibilities
Job Description
The Director of Technology Operations will be responsible to oversee the deployment and support of internal technology applications used for workplace collaboration as well as the procurement, deployment and management of enterprise servers, desktop/laptops, mobile devices and office equipment. This role will lead a team of service desk, service delivery and server administrators to maintain a scalable reliable, secure, and integrated IT infrastructure for the company and all subsidiaries. This role will also be responsible to govern, evolve and manage the overall cloud architecture for the company and develop a plan to integrate it and scale it.
In this role you will collaborate with Enterprise Technology teams: Data Architecture, Business Applications, Information security and OT Operations to deliver integrated solutions to the business.
Key Accountabilities
Role accountabilities include:
- Recruit, lead, direct, develop, coach and evaluate direct reports.
- Lead day to day IT operations which include the Service Desk/Service Delivery teams to manage workplace collaboration applications, desktop/laptops, mobile devices, onPremise server infrastructure, and all office infrastructure.
- Develop/implement operational policies/procedures and Manage/track department's annual budget
- Evaluate and deploy technology solutions to improve collaboration and productivity for the company, while ensuring minimizing impact to existing production systems/infrastructure, maintain a best-in-class internal technology for the company
- Engage and manage key stakeholder relationships to communicate and review SLAs, understand business needs and drive continuous improvement in service delivery
- As member of Enterprise Technology, support broader execution of the department and New Horizon transformation strategy and planning
Qualifications
Experience/Qualifications/Education RequiredEducational RequirementsUndergraduate degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline and at least 8 years of progressive technology architecture experience in a similar role with strong focus on data engineering/architecture focus, of which at least 5 years of the experience is in a leadership/people management capacity.
Required Work Experience
- Experience executing strategy, innovation, and architecting workplace technology projects and products across complex enterprises. Ideally on environments with multiple type of IT assets under management
- Experience and expertise architecting, deploying workplace cloud platforms such as Microsoft Office, Cisco Webex.
- Experience and expertise architecting, deploying and managing public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with strong understanding of security protocols.
- Experience with IT systems including networking, onPremise server platforms, Linux administration, Windows Administration, and procurement and deployment of desktop and mobile devices
- Strong ITMS operational experience implementing, and managing production environments (Change management, Incident management, problem management, etc.), Experience managing large budgets and implementing disaster recovery plans.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of leading and inspiring high-performing teams (with both internal and external resources)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders (both technology and business).
