We are looking for an outstanding engineer within the CTS organization who will work closely with CTS Engineering and program delivery teams that are responsible for delivering new products and functionality to partner providers. Who does the Senior Software Engineer work with?
You will work closely with CTS Engineering team, the CTS Program Delivery teams and the CTS Operational Readiness Team to deliver features and capabilities to our Syndication partners. You will also interact heavily with the internal Comcast engineering & Operations teams as part of new features development for our partners.
What are some interesting things you will doing?
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and building the critical software components that enable the large family of Comcast products to be syndicated to partners.
You will be a senior member of DevOps team that leverage CI/CD and Agile practice and work with emerging public cloud and other technologies.
You will work with the internal engineering teams at Comcast while working on new features and to help those teams to troubleshoot partner issues.
You will be integral part of the agile delivery team utilizing such software delivery concepts as CI/CD, Infrastructure as a Code, and Configuration as a Code
You will be working with latest cloud technologies to deliver best value to our partners
You will have opportunity to coach more junior team members to ensure high quality of software delivery
You will have opportunity to interact with Comcast partners in order to deliver high quality products
Job Summary
As a senior member of the Syndication Development team you are responsible for design and development of the software components (such as XMP APIs) required to integrate Comcast products & technology with large MSO’s systems across North American, Europe, and Asia/Pacific. You will design and develop the best infrastructure and software solutions & monitor emerging technologies/technology practices for potential use within the team and company to meet the needs of the Syndication business. Job Description
Core Responsibilities
As a senior member of XMP Development team the Engineer 4 will be responsible for planning, development, and rolling out Comcast XMP API used by Comcast partners to integrate with Comcast backend services. In particular:
- Participate in making major technical and architectural decisions
- Hands-on development of the API features
- Hands-on development of the partner and internal-facing applications and components
- Hands-on development of the new tools to make the API management more efficient
- Design major features and capabilities
- Mentor developers on the team
- Perform code reviews/approvals
- Expand the document development best practices
- Assist with cloud-based infrastructure planning and implementation
- Work with partners and technical architects on technical requirements definition
- Assist in the ongoing system support and maintenance
- Be integral part of the team's agile practices, propose the delivery process optimizations as needed
Requirements
- Self-starter
- Previous experience mentoring developers
- Working knowledge of AWS, specifically API Gateway, Lambda, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB
- Expert in Python
- Extensive experience dev
