Job Description 

Identify bottlenecks and apply problem solving methodology to improve productivity, cycle time and on-time delivery to customers. Programming knowledge to create simple reports and write macros in excel to improve efficiency of repeated tasks. Evaluate dispatch algorithms to run the fab smoothly.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor fab to identify improvement opportunities in tools and operators
• Conduct time studies
• Work with team members and fab floor operators to improve efficiency of operation
• Other tasks as directed by the manager or requested by team members

 

Work Environment 

Assignment Complexity

• Ability to perform tasks that are simple to medium in complexity under guidance.
• Ability to cover both day and night shift

Knowledge & Abilities:

• Ability to apply simple Industrial Engineering concepts to solve problems and provide creative solutions
• Interact with floor personnel and team members to comprehend the situation
• Programming knowledge a plus

Supervision

• No direct management responsibilities

Working Conditions

• Work in a fab clean-room environment or in office setting

Experience/Proven Skills

• Prior internship experience
• Programming skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

• Student in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
