We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality performance of our suppliers to ensure that all products and materials meet our stringent quality standards. This role involves working closely with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct supplier assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities with suppliers to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement quality improvement plans and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to address supplier-related quality issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to ensure understanding and adherence to quality requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field and minimum 10 years experience in supplier quality engineering or a related role, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience with supplier assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and software (e.g., Minitab, Quality Management Systems).
  • Certification in quality engineering (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
