Description

TL;DR Kharon is seeking a full-time Vice President, Public Sector Sales preferably based in Washington D.C., but also open to candidates based in the NYC metropolitan area. This role requires frequent in-office attendance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and exceed quota focused on net-new acquisition and expansion within federal, state and international accounts
  • Navigate government procurement processes and lead complex, consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through contract execution
  • Build and execute a disciplined territory plan by identifying high-value targets, prioritizing outreach, and developing multithreaded relationships within prospect agencies.
  • Engage credibly with senior stakeholders by understanding their operational and policy priorities, and translate Kharon’s intelligence into clear mission impact (eg. sanctions enforcement, threat finance disruption, risk mitigation)
  • Develop and maintain a healthy, accurate pipeline with consistent CRM hygiene to support reliable forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership, product, and intelligence teams to surface market insights and inform go-to-market strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 12+ years of experience in public sector sales or business development, with a meaningful portion in federal government markets and a track record of closing complex, consultative B2B deals (SaaS, data, intelligence, professional services, or similar).
  • Consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota on net-new revenue, including closing six- or seven-figure government contracts. 
  • Familiarity with government procurement mechanisms and how to navigate them to close.
  • Substantive knowledge of sanctions, OSINT, anti-money laundering, counter-threat financing, financial crime, sanctions regimes, and environmental, social and governance standards.
  • Strong existing relationships within federal agencies, the intelligence community, defense, law enforcement, or allied government equivalents
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines across teams.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
