Job Description

AECOM is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Bridge Engineer in the Transportation Department in Denver, Colorado.

Specifics of the role include:

• Regional expert on providing technical leadership and guidance in a specialty, providing strategic planning to increase our profitability within area of expertise.   
• Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications. 
• Uses creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented technical problems. Interprets, organizes, executes and coordinates assignments. 
• Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work. 
• Develops standards and guidelines for use throughout the company. The knowledge and expertise required for this level of work usually results from progressive experience. 
• Supervision received is essentially administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree +12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications :

• 12 years experience in bridge design
• Project management skills
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing
• Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
• Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable Codes.
• Knowledge of current structural modeling software tools
• A current PE license

Additional Information

Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $142,000-$250,000.
