Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented FinOps Business Analyst Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will work within the FCoE (FinOps Center of Excellence) and closely with our finance and operations teams to analyze and report on Cloud Service Provider data, as well as assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize the company's Cloud Service Provider performance.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in analyzing and interpreting financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets
• Prepare and present financial and operational reports to key stakeholders
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline the company's financial operations
• Support the implementation and ongoing management of financial systems and tools
• Work closely with FCoE and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for various financial and operational projects
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed

 

Requirements:

• Must be a senior or graduate student working towards a degree in a related with a business or technical degree or have graduated within the last 6 months.
• Basic understanding of AWS services
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of finance and operations
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Previous internship experience in finance or cloud operations is a plus
• Some coding (python) and SQL experience is a plus

 

Location:

• 2-3 days in our Herndon Virginia Office
