You are skilled at making complexity understandable, bringing structure to ambiguity, and helping teams move forward with confidence. About the Role
Justworks is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join our Employment Experiences Design team.
This role will report to the Director of Experience Design, working in partnership with Product Design Managers to connect Purchase, People, and Benefits experiences across customer growth, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
You will drive high-impact design efforts that span across multiple product areas, creating seamless first impressions and long-term engagement paths for our small business customers and their employees. You will partner closely with peers in Product, Engineering, and Marketing to define strategic opportunities and bring coherent solutions to life.
As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll lead the framing and definition of complex, multi-touchpoint experience areas, shaping the future of how Justworks supports small businesses through critical employment moments.
Your Success Profile
What You Will Work On
- Lead the design and strategic framing of experiences that bridge the Purchase, People, and Benefits domains, especially around growth funnels, onboarding journeys, and lifecycle transitions.
- Design intuitive, polished user interfaces that reduce friction, and build customer trust from first touch through ongoing engagement.
- Create models, frameworks, and system maps to bring clarity to complex problem spaces and align cross-functional stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaborative design processes, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
- Contribute to and extend our design systems and shared patterns to support scalable, high-quality experiences across teams.
- Mentor designers across Employment Experience Design, modeling best practices in product and service design craft.
- Stay close to user needs through collaboration with Research, using insights to inform and validate design solutions.
- Partner with Engineering and Product peers to define, scope, and deliver high-quality work that moves key business metrics.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
