What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Logistics Cost Management: Calculate logistics costs based on supplier location and transportation rates. Analyze and optimize processes to minimize costs. 
  • Inbound Logistics Planning and Optimization: Develop logistics concepts for inbound materials from our suppliers worldwide. Optimize existing concepts to enhance our efficiency and sustainability. Follow up on the implementation of measures and asses their effectiveness. 
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for inbound logistics processes. Create comprehensible reports and use them to derive optimization measures. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and compliance across all processes. 
  • Corresponding to your individual skills, you may be asked to perform appropriate tasks in logistics planning that are not explicitly included in this job posting.  

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina.
  • The responsibilities of this role require 4-5 days of attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

What you’ll bring

  • 2-4 years of proven professional experience in structuring, analyzing, and developing a multimodal transportation network solution, preferably at a North American Automotive OEM 
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization using BI tools like PowerBI  
  • Experience with logistics costs calculation and cost management 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and presentation skills 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external teams  
  • Ability to independently work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Creative, collaborative and open mindset and drive to think out of the box
