Our “Roof & Components (RC)” business unit develops and produces roof systems for every type of vehicle and autonomous driving. To achieve this, we rely on the most modern technologies and materials. You can look forward to these exciting tasks:
- The Assistant Quality Manager supports Manufacturing by ensuring that department requirements are completed and maintained in a timely manner, including: CMM programming & operation, fixture calibration & maintenance, certification & maintenance of all instruments, gauge layouts & organization, GR&R, MSA studies, SPC analysis, part layouts and systems support for Quality.
- Will be required to hold daily pre-shift meetings and give day to day direction to employees.
- Communicates with Quality Manager, Quality Engineers, Process Engineers, and other plant personnel about concerns, providing status reports as appropriate.
- Provide inspection and dimensional expertise to Quality team members, including personnel training, equipment, documents, and records of compliance.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding current and dimensional checks, product quality and equipment.
- Provide Engineering and Quality Assurance personnel with process expertise to support existing and new customer programs.
- Proactively support/initiates corrective measures to process control issues.
- Assist the Quality Manager with developing, implementing, and maintaining training for quality personnel.
- Ensure all product validation checks are performed to control plans, controlled documents and procedures. Follow IATF 16949 & ISO 14001 procedures
- Look for and implement continuous improvement ideas
- Lead problem solving efforts 8D & 5 Whys
- Update weekly KPI reports
This is what you bring to us:
- Post-secondary education in a technical field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience required (previous CMM programming and scanning experience is required as well)
- Must have strong programming and operational background of DEA Delta HA CR overhead Gantry Co-ordinate
- Must have strong background and experience in Automotive Manufacturing, APQP, PPAP and Quality Assurance
- Strong technical background and experience in metrology, Blueprints, GD&T, SPC, GR&R, Check Fixtures and CAD preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment in order to meet customer requirements and with variable workloads- Must be able to interact effectively with other team members- Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
