Summary:  DACC, a responsive, accessible, comprehensive, learning-centered community college that provides education opportunities to a diverse community of learners is inviting candidates to apply for the following vacant position:

Classification Summary:
Coordinates one or more specific administrative programs or service areas within the Community College Student Services area. In the absence of the CC Director serves in that capacity. Oversees Advisors and resolves sensitive customer service issues as they arise.

Classification Standard Duties:
Processes transactions specific to the area. Tracks changes in grades, status, and parts of term and curriculum for changes in eligibility. Coordinates with Main Campus to effectively and productively manage account information. Prepares and reviews reports. Oversees staff in absence of the CC Director. Directly supervises Advisors which typically includes recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluations, training and problem resolution. Introduces and manages special programs and initiatives. Educates students about making wise decisions regarding their college experience. Designs presentation materials and brochures. Provides financial or admissions counseling to students and provides resources as needed. Assists with the creation of policies and procedures in compliance with State/Federal Laws. Coordinates with Main Campus in evaluating laws and designing policies and procedures for compliance purposes. Advises, interviews, and assists students on federal and State programs.

Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of financial aid policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements. Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the job. Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures.; SKILLS:Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Employee development and performance management skills. Working knowledge and skill in operating in the Banner system and related module components.; ABILITIES:Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Leads and coordinates the DACC Dual Credit (DC) and Early College High School (ECHS) Programs.
• Works and communicates regularly with secondary school counselors, principals and staff to provide DC/ECHS services to students.
• Travels occasionally to high schools for planning meetings and student advising events.
• Coordinates regular meetings and communications with service area public school districts as well as independent and charter schools to offer concurrent enrollment programming
• Provides reports, analytics and data to all stakeholders associated with DACC DC/ECHS Programs.
• Consults with DACC administration and academic leadership to plan logistics of course offerings and develop strategies to offer sustainable, quality DC/ECHS programming.
• Assists Director of Academic Advising in coordinating operational and strategic aspects of academic advising across the college.
