Position Overview

QinetiQ is recruiting for a Software Developer to join our growing team of individuals providing the full spectrum of capabilities. We solve hard target problems for our customers on major, well-known electronics systems, to custom hard-to-find, one-off platforms.

Responsibilities

The developer will be building highly scalable full-stack applications. The developer will also be familiar with one or more Python web frameworks such as Flask and DJango, implementing authentication systems and other security controls (e.g. logins, web API tokens, OAuth), Database-driven applications and use of ORMs to exchange data.

Required Qualifications

• Python experience 
• Experience writing effective and scalable python code
• Experience debugging applications to ensure low-latency and high availability
• Experience implementing security and data protection
• Linux experience
• Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required. 
• Active Secret Clearance required #qinetiqclearedjob

Preferred Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Django, Flask, or similar Python frameworks
• Redis Key-Value Store
• Other programming languages, C, Rust, Go, etc.
• Minimum of a Top Secret clearance is preferred
