R&D Project Manager

What You’ll Be Doing:
We are looking for a project manager to manage R&D projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute a project management. In this position, you will be responsible for the management of internal and external projects in the research and development group.
- Define plans and drive the execution of research and development projects in different teams
- Create, maintain, communicate, and present schedules for R&D projects to the leadership teams
- Ensure inter-team coordination and communication as well as engagement with external collaborators
- Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet the integral milestones
- Execute detailed project tracking and documentation, including communicating regular updates with internal and external leaders
Requirements
Minimum qualifications we seek:
- BS/MS/MA in relevant technical field (chemical/mechanical/aerospace engineering field)
- 5+ Experience in project management, budgeting, project schedule development and execution, risk table and mitigation strategies
- Demonstrated understanding of the R&D project cycle
- Demonstrated experience in the management of engineering projects with strong record-keeping and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of project tracking software system
Preferred Experience
- Experience with management of project in oil & gas, chemical. or automotive fields
- Deep technical and engineering experience in fuel & energy conversion devices (engine, fuel cell, reformer, turbine, etc)
The salary pay range for this position is $107,000– $130,000. The salary pay range is applicable to positions physically based in Houston,TX. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
