The Royal Caribbean Group’s Supply Chain Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Marketing Procurement Manager reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement.

 

 

The position will be based in the Miami, Florida office, and will collaborate closely with various clients located elsewhere in the United States and internationally.    

 

Position Summary:

 

The Marketing Procurement Manager will act as Corporate Marketing Procurement Leader and subject matter expert to directly support internal marketing business teams across the enterprise. Broad industry knowledge of advertising, traditional media, digital and in-house corporate marketing. Strategic partner with internal business teams to engage with new and existing external vendors on a regular basis. Responsible for short- and long-term planning for contracted services. Interacts and presents to executive leadership on a regular basis. Engaging with a variety of teams across the enterprise for contract engagements while serving as the primary point of contact for negotiations, business and/or project structure and payment models. Primarily responsible for commercial contract support across the company to other stakeholder teams including legal, finance, privacy and accounting, in addition to executive sponsors. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and implement marketing sourcing strategies based on solid understanding of marketing agencies, media, advertising industry and related services  
  • Direct experience or knowledge of industry specific software, platforms, and online tools    
  • Ability to support business teams in identifying, communicating and creating project plans for specific projects or for ongoing service providers    
  • Lead cost savings and service improvement initiatives across the brands covering all marketing channels *** capture and communicate all savings for reporting purposes    
  • Understanding of corporate contracts and ability to manage specific contracts through complex negotiations and levels of approval with both internal stakeholders and external partners and vendors Identify enterprise opportunities where possible to leverage across other brands for services and to achieve cost efficiencies.  
  • Strong ability to apply general business or industry knowledge to create effective business relationships with teams that are not related to marketing but require contract support when engaging with either new or existing vendors. 
  • This support may be in the form of RFP/RFIs as well as competitive bids or other procurement processes to identify appropriate business partners.  
  • In addition to marketing teams, other new indirect procurement activities are assigned, including extended contract negotiations to achieve corporate business objectives.  
  • Additional supported teams include all marketing, global public relations, global call centers, guest printing services, HR or other indirect procurement as needed.  
  • Able to support the corporate contract policy and terms with internal stakeholders.   
  • Negotiates price, scope, services and payment schedules on a per contract, per project basis  
  • Works closely with internal clients to identify appropriate vendors, communicate company needs and procure estimates and bids for both ongoing engagements and per project work   
  • Ability to incorporate specific industry knowledge to negotiations, strategies and planning to correlate to the goods and/or services procured  
  • Collaborates with the Brands and industry participants to identify new innovative products and services    
  • Able to review pricing components for various advertising and marketing campaigns to better evaluate and negotiate costs  
  • Manage complex multi-year contracts and agreements with values often exceeding $50M
