WHAT IS THE POSTION

We are seeking a Part Time Enhanced Virtual Learning (EVL) Live Lesson Bilingual (Spanish) Math Teacher. You must possess a valid New Jersey teaching certificate and reside in the United States to apply.

The primary function of the Enhanced Virtual Learning (EVL) live lesson teacher is to develop and deliver virtual lessons and activities in accordance with District and state policies and laws that align with the curriculum and learning objectives during the school day. The EVL live lesson teacher is assigned and expected to deliver 1-8 live lessons per school day. The EVL live lesson teacher must be highly qualified for the delivery of specified course content in an online, virtual environment. This is a part time, virtual teaching position that can be located anywhere in the U.S. Term length is a minimum of a semester and could be extended to the remainder of the year.

Note:   This is a Seasonal, Part-time position which means hours are not guaranteed and may fluctuate depending on student enrollments and business need. As an exempt employee, this position does not qualify for overtime compensation. No equipment. As a variable part time employee, this role is not eligible for health benefits upon hire.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Lesson Development and Delivery

  • Develop and deliver virtual lessons and activities that align with district curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Deliver 1-8 live lessons per school day on essential learning topics for each course in the content area.
  • Employ synchronous and asynchronous tools to supplement course content.
  • Use a variety of teaching techniques to engage and motivate students.

Student Support and Assessment

  • Support a full student roster in the certified content area.
  • Assess student understanding and progress through virtual assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work and progress.
  • Grade student work and enter grades into an online grade book in a timely manner.
  • Track student progress and pacing to complete coursework by the end date.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Respond to student messages and discussions in a timely manner within school guidelines.
  • Maintain synchronous and asynchronous communication with students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a positive and inclusive virtual learning environment.
  • Acquaint students with their coursework and communicate course and school requirements.

Professional Development

  • Stay current on virtual teaching strategies and tools to enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and training to continually improve teaching skills and knowledge.

Resource Creation

  • Create learning resources to promote student learning for each course in the content area.

WHAT IS REQUIRED

  • New Jersey State Teaching License with endorsements in Math and Bilingual (Spanish) for grades 6-12
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
  • At least 3 years of classroom experience
  • Strong knowledge of subject matter and state standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, classroom teachers, and other educators
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Maintain working knowledge of industry, market, and competitive landscape
