Your Responsibilities

 

As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:

 

• Design, develop and test software and requirements that is embedded into company’s vehicles to help our customers optimize job performance, provide precision machine control, and enhance the user’s experience;
• Execute and document proof of concepts software for technology development;
• Work in a dynamic work teaming environment with global team members;
• Collaborate with systems engineers and software architects to deliver software features;
• Provide technical support to non-software groups including marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations;
• Develop software using world class design process and tools; operate and test work on company products.
• This is a 100% remote position. Can live anywhere in the U.S. 25% international and domestic travel required.

 

What Skills You Need

 

• 3 years of experience in perform Model-based software development (MBSD) in MATLAB/Simulink, and software development in C
• 3 years of experience in integrate application code and configure operating systems for embedded hardware within AUTOSAR framework (board bring-up) using industry tools similar to Vector Davinci suite
• 2 years of experience in design and create artifacts in software architecture & communication layers in PREEvision or Cameo
• 2 years of experience in perform rapid prototyping software development processes

 

Education/Experience

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or foreign academic equivalent plus 3 years related experience.
