ITW Electronics Assembly Equipment (EAE) Division is made up of four brands strongly recognized by Contract Manufacturers and OEMs in the Electronics and Industrial Markets. The Division designs, develops, manufactures, and markets capital equipment primarily used in the assembly process of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and other industrial applications. Job Description
Position Summary:
Plans, direct and coordinates activities for product development/supporting/sustaining projects, ensuring goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and budget. Reviews project plan to ascertain schedule, cost, equipment, and staffing requirements. Periodically reviews status of projects and adjusts as necessary. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Follows business strategies and implements projects by working in collaboration with business managers, engineering managers and other key cross-functional stakeholders. Ensure resources are utilized at its full potential, projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and ensuring quality of deliverables. He/she provides key input to periodic communication to senior management and other key Research & Development personnel.
Job Responsibilities
- Applies 80/20 as well as other” ITW Tool Box” business simplification practices to the business and manage the team to stay focused on top priorities. Participates cross organizationally in the development of business processes and initiatives.
- Participate in technical advisory roles, as required.
- Document technical requirements, develop and oversee project plans and implement change control procedures Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Conducts preliminary investigations for all project requests. Reviews requirements, specifications, test, support and training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives.
- Maintains project staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
- Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing new product technologies.
- Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
- Ensure quality of the project deliverable by conducting, participating in formal design reviews
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Carry out such other duties as may be assigned.
- Aligns with cross-functional team on team priorities, activities.
- Participates in projects reviews and ensures timely completion of relevant tasks/activities to meet project timeline and budget.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to execute project including the ability to plan, organize and conduct technical programs within the timeline and financial constraints.
- Demonstrated skills with project management tools and methodologies, stage-gate product development lifecycle.
- Ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to meet stated customer-initiated deadlines.
- Formal training and experience in the management of technical projects that include mechanical, electrical, software development.
- Ability to conceptualize new ideas based on marketing/customer requirements and follow through various development phases and into product introduction.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven problem definition, root cause analysis, problem solving experience.
- Proficiency in MS office tools - Excel, Word, and Power Point, including strong data analysis skills.
