The Opportunity 

 

Are you passionate about logistics and international trade? Join our dynamic team as a Global Logistics Specialist and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and compliant delivery of materials across the globe. This full time position will report to the Senior Logistics Manager and duties include but are not limited to;  

 

• Optimize Shipping Methods: Utilize various shipping methods (FCL, LCL, FTL, LTL, air, intermodal, rail, ocean) to maximize service and cost efficiency.
• Develop Shipping Tools: Use TMS Management to create and enhance shipping tools and programs.
• Ensure Compliance: Guarantee that international shipments meet all trade compliance, regulatory, and corporate guidelines.
• Manage Carriers: Hold carriers and freight forwarders accountable for pricing and service standards.
• Timely Delivery: Execute the timely and accurate delivery of goods and documents.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understand complex federal import/export laws and regulations, including U.S. Customs, FDA regulations, HTS, EAR, and product classification.
• Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with changes in export laws and regulations.
• Training and Development: Participate in the development and publishing of manuals and training new processes.
• Legal Review: Conduct in-depth reviews of complex legal regulatory documents.
• System Utilization: Use SAP and other trade systems for load delivery and trade documentation.
• Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with various departments and external providers.
• Leadership: Act as the department lead in the manager’s absence and provide guidance and instructions.

 

 The Skills you will bring to the team

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Customs Management, International Studies, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years in export/domestic logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
