About you and this role - What you will do in this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Global Mechanical Integrity Safety Standard (GMISS) Coordinator in Bristol, PA!

This role partners with plant operations, logistics, EHS and maintenance departments in order to maintain compliance with the Dow Global Mechanical Integrity Safety Standard.

Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role

  • Assist the equipment owners:
    • Understand what equipment is GMISS in-scope equipment.
    • Understand the different Exemptions to Registrations (i.e., E, GI, and GE).
    • Send 30-60-90 day maintenance-due notices.
    • Provide Registration Unique Identification tags.
  • Assist the GMISS Focal Point.
  • Manage the requests submitted at the R&D GMISS work request website:
    • Monitor the website for new requests daily.
    • Collaborate with Discipline Coordinators in assigning Qualified Designers.
    • Collaborate with Discipline Coordinators to identify Self Assessment Due Dates.
    • Provide the Network Activity (NWA) for the engineering work needed, enter into the specific request.
    • Create Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for forecasting and managing Engineering Solutions projects/work and resources.
    • Review the work request data and identify request data gaps, e.g., missing Field Data Forms, unclear photos, missing Detailed Design Drawing, or Fabrication Drawing, or General Arrangement Drawing for PCE.
    • Collaborate with the Discipline Coordinator and Focal Point in resolving request’s data quality gaps.
  • Manage the Electronic Maintenance Management System (EMMS), e.g., SAP PM:
    • Provide the Unique Identification number for the equipment.
    • Load registration data.
    • Set up scheduled services for maintenance items.
    • Create 30-60-90 day maintenance-due reports.
    • Processes administrative status changes (e.g., change from Active to Inactive, owners, and locations).
  • Maintain the Electronic Records Center:
    • File the registration, inspection, etc. documents.
    • Processes inspection/testing reports (e.g., review document for accuracy, proper names, save documents per the sites’ naming convention, add notes as needed and closes work orders).
    • Provide Records Center records to Equipment Owners and others.

Qualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Familiarity with API Inspection Standards and Mechanical Integrity Inspection standards.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
